FILA003 - Various Artists - Fest II EP (Vinyl Only)

from Filament

Once again, a full-flavoured adventure. Once again, a blazing beacon of fresh talent. Once again, a concept that
takes us seamlessly through a party session, Filament’s signature is in full effect as the tracks gradually raise
the intensity and widen the emotional range throughout.

Filament Deejays take the lead at precisely ‘4.28pm’ and not a moment before. Briskly whisking us away on a
trip to Turkey, it’s an alluring, sultry piece that kicks along at a cool 118 BPM and is laced with strings and a
lavish disco bassline.

Alarms set for ‘6.04pm’, Glowing Palms is on hand for the next leg of the journey. Ushering in the start of
sunset, the Ruf Kutz artist lays down a reflective magic carpet of rippling synths that surges you into the darker
pastures of the night before the penultimate moment ‘9.37pm’.

Dusk fading, the moon aglow, the Dalston superheroes Super Drama continue their incredible vein of form
with a gigantic slab of synth disco energy. Timeless, guileless, just pure fun, it sets us up for the grand finale
from young Canadian upstart Ghostwhip.

'10.56pm’ is the final salute of the soiree. Much heavier and direct than its predecessors with its broken drums
and grizzly, bashy bass, the vibes are soothed by some beautiful old school garage chords throughout and the
message is simple… Night time is the right time and Filament always light up the dance.
